I am currently staying in Davao with my wife.We don’t have a car because we are on vacation and taxi service has being used on the daily basis.One of those days we have arrived to Davao International airport.The first taxi we saw was “Maligaya”.We went inside,but after few seconds we have faced a huge problem-driver did not want to start the meter(because I am a foreigner).We live close to the airport, so we know exactly how much is the price including tips(we always give).The driver of the beautiful car with magic #165(plate) wanted to charge 250 pesos, even we new that its not more then 100 php.I believe that it’s quite common situation for all the foreign people arriving to Philippines(same in Manila,Cebu,Cagayan).This situation leaves negative impression – why should the foreigners pay more?????
It was sooooo bad that I took one vios taxi on January.
I pay over than meter indicated.
But driver wants more, so kept to watch customer with his ugry face like devil.
Immediately need to improve…….!!!!
May be no education this company has. I will not take Maligaya taxi anymore.
you could get the number of the taxi or his plate number and report it to their office

@ admin : they get apprehended if they have violation. parang di ka yata nag aral ng lesson mu admin … anu ba nature ng business nyo ? di ba taxi company? u cater the riding public in the Davao City and the last time i check Mintal is still within the city.
sumakay ako ng maligaya taxi and then unexpectedly naiwan ko ang wallet ko, i was sitting in front so possible talga na nakita ng driver na naiwan ang wallet ko, until nw wala pang repost na nakita na..tsk i was so dissapointed hudas talga ang ibang mga driver sana magabaan kayo one of these days

i was driving my car toyota pick-up dtd 14/07/11 morning following traffic rules with my daughter going to school but this bastard and ignorant driver of maligaya taxi plate # LWY 611 cutting my path on several occasions, moving a snake/zigzag,one motorcycle hit his back bumber slightly because he drives likes no proper training. Your company must act and punished this bastard driver.

TO Maligaya Taxi MAnagement: inyong mga driver wla disiplina, dili kabalo mag-drive. pipila na ka mga drayber among nasakyan nga murag gikan nanarbaho ug drayber sa ambulansya o firetruck! bisag dili kinanglan mupitu, mupitu sa crossing nga kabalong naay ka ingkentro. pirme ka makakita ug maligaya taxi nga parahan ka sa wrong-way pa jud, mubacking sa alanganin nga mga lugar. naa pa mga drayber nga mukalit lag syagit kay gisapot sa kasugat(makuratan ang pasahero). daghan kaayo mo mga drayber nga wala disiplina makalagot nga makit-an nimo nga magturno samtang naghulat sa tunga sa initan ilang pasagdan abli ang mga pertahan sa taxi. pagsakay nimo, imbes nag-taxi ka arun dili ka mainitan, igang pud kaayo !! nganong kapanguha man mo ug mga drayber nga under-qualified?!!!!
i think most of the taxi drivers were also like that.. not only the maligaya taxi drivers…

you can report it to the company… i know how you feel, but with this kind of matter you can report it directly to the company…

Good or bad its still publicity. I think this is what Southern Maligaya Taxi Inc. lived by. Through the years the company was able to survive all the negative feedback both from the riding public even from the Mayor. The company is still growing bigger even if we think as per standard it should no longer be given permit to operate as a taxi company. @admin reply I hope you be more educated in the way you reply on the feedback posted b/c it seems like your just a bystander who happen to get a hold of a keyboard and post your comment. Providing an option for the riding public to report the issue to LTFRB should have been the last resort. If you work for SMTI try to resolve the issue first on your end. We might get an impression that LTFRB is on your side dont you think?
I’ve heard from a relaible resource that some of the drivers in your company has criminal records, checking your requirements for employment you only need bio data and then they can start driving. For parents out there be made aware you might pick up your kids somewhere else. Theres nothing wrong in making a living I just hope you consider other peoples welfare instead of how you make money out of it.! To me that the real success…
Fuck ! your management lacks of trainings towards your taxi drivers. Please discipline them for us as passenger were not be able to wonder if is it a ride to heaven.
hi!… i think it is on a driver… we cannot blame the company for what we had experienced taking a ride with this taxi… i mean the company is fair, it is the driver who are so strict, and some overcharge the fare (most especially it happens to our foreigner). and if you complain regarding to overcharge fare… you can report it to the company.. i know the company will not tolerate this kind of behavior their drivers has… thank you and God bless..
reporting a reckless driver of maligaya with cab number 523 on duty
9 pm of April 6, 2012… we were making a right turn in corner pelayo and gen. luna st.. right in front of uccp church when suddenly this maligaya # 523 came rushing from bonifacio turning left towards the intersection nearly hitting our van… we are so disappointed…

you should know how to put yourselves in the right place,
that is why there is a notion “ah, it’s ok, he’s a taxi driver”, mga walay batasan, murag si kinsa!

Me and my 5 year old daughter was in Gaisano Mall Davao at around 8 p.m July 3, 2012 we were boarding a Maligaya Taxi With Plate Number LWT 613 Body Number is 0008. I told the taxi driver to go to UnionBank Uyanguren Davao City but the taxi driver take the long route from Gaisano Mall we passed to MAPA Steet to Central Bank (iyaha ming gi tuyok) I just did not bother it anyway it will only cost more few pesos. I just keep quite. when approaching to Rotunda near the postal office I asked him to turn left but he raised his voice to me that we need to pass the Rotunda (he is right) but the way he raise his voice is not right. I felt being humiliated. I told him why are you angry? He Raise his voice again and we had an argument I told him that I will report him to their customer service and he answer back with a very loud voice that go ahead. Tell Maligaya that I am Jomari Lindawan. He is a very arrogant and sobra kaayo ka bastos wala man lang siya nag respeto na babae ko. Wala man lang pud siya nag respeto naa naay 5 year old na naminaw sa iya. I want to report this also to the City Mayor please let me know how?
